Despite the COVID-19 pandemic that significantly affected HIAC’s plan for the year, the foundation was still able to carry out a handful of rewarding activities to the benefit of the children.
In the middle of the year, HIAC took the children in dance classes where they were taught new dance steps for the fun of it as well as to boost their mental health through physical endeavours and interaction.
HIAC also took part in the planning of a fundraiser/album release party for one of its beneficiary orphanage home, where the children had recorded music as a worthwhile activity during the pandemic.
HIAC also visited one of its beneficiary homes mid year with sandwich refreshment and entertained the children briefly with music and general interaction and games.
In December, HIAC organized a movie night and an end of year party.
On a Friday night, HIAC brought and mounted the facilities - projectors, speakers, etc at one of its beneficiary orphanage home and gave the children a proper cinema experience as they were treated to movies with popcorn and drinks.
The following Saturday, a proper end of year activity was organized. There were personal presentations, drama and dance performances, spelling competitions, music and dance competitions, face painting, and the children were given gifts.
Foods and drinks was also in abundance - fruit punch, fruit salad, waffle dogs, ice cream, small chops. cakes, rice and chicken, and as usual their buddy Santa Claus made sure to pay them a visit with amazing toys and presents.
